Metal folding chairs are ideal for banquets, school events and outdoor events. If you need a chair that is going to take a beating then you will probably want a metal folding chair.

The most popular and cheapest metal chair is the basic gray color chair. This is the chair that you usually associate with folding metal chairs. However, steel folding chairs can come in a number of different colors such as burgundy, black or blue. The difference in cost between a colored and non-colored chair is minimal so having colored chairs is something you may want to consider.

For added comfort a metal chair can also be equipped with upholstery. The upholstered material is usually a combination of polyester and polypropylene.  Also, make sure that the seat pan is contoured for added comfort. As an alternative to metal folding chairs you may also want to consider plastic folding chairs. Their strength and light weight make them worth some consideration.
