Yes they really do make bean bag chairs!

Bean bag chairs for the office? That's exactly what I was asking myself when I first saw it. What next I started to think but then realized this wasn't just any ordinary office. It was my accountant's office. My accountant Marty is really a smart guy and does very well with his business but sometimes he's just way out there. He always was the one to do what seems wacky to most of us but when he began to explain his rationale it started to make sense to me - sort of.

"You see Mike" he said, "this is not just a cheap bean bag it's actually a bean bag chair". I had to admit that it really did look nice and comfortable and didn't look like much of a bean bag. "Exactly" he continued, " I find this chair gives me more ergonomic support than my previous office chair". My friend went on to explain how it conformed to the shape of this body and prevented pressure from building up on specific points and therefore was kinder and gentler to his body. He felt more relaxed and more productive with this odd but very functional ergonomic office chair.

Marty has always had problems with his back and finding an orthopedic office chair that was comfortable for him was always a challenge. One night while watching TV at home Marty's son suggested he try out the new discount bean bag chair his grandparents had given him for his birthday since they thought it looked cute. In reality they really didn't know beans about what they were buying. "You know Dad, these bean bags aren't just for kids anymore". That night spent sitting in his son's bean bag convinced Marty to do some research and find out if maybe there was a bean bag chair that was comfortable enough to use in his home office.

A bean bag chair isn't just for kids

Marty found out his son was right! In fact, he found bean bag furniture in different sizes, colors and configurations. They can also be covered in different fabrics, such as leather, vinyl and cloth. There were huge beanbags and small bean bags. In fact there is a bean bag chair to fit almost any size person. There's even a basket ball sports bean bag chair! It was amazing how many people from all different walks of life were using them in their homes to relax. He also saw photos posted by previous beanbag buyers on some online sites bragging about how awesome their new chairs were!

Marty figured if a bean bag chair was good enough for the home it must be good enough for the office and so that's how my good friend the accountant ended up with his bean bag office chair.
